I discovered my love of art in 2019 when a gift of watercolours encouraged me to overcome the belief that I couldn’t draw. By experimenting and letting go of expectations, I began to find a style of my own.

In 2022, during an art class exercise on shading, I was introduced to doodling as a way of building texture and form. The technique immediately resonated with me, and I tried drawing Layla, my Australian Labradoodle. Capturing her curls and character in pen and ink felt so natural that it sparked what I now call my “doodles of doodles.”
I create detailed black-and-white drawings of dogs and other animals, especially curly-haired breeds like labradoodles, cockapoos, and other poodle mixes. Sometimes I add a splash of watercolour.
For me, this is a creative outlet I love to immerse myself in, and I am always experimenting with ways my doodles can fit into everyday items, from journals to pencil cases and even a couple of water bottles. Enthusiasm from friends has led to commissions and Etsy sales, which I happily fit around my other commitments.
